A 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army, Phillip couldn’t sit idle in retirement. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start The Golden Flea, which began as a simple vendor market with individual seller booths—and yes, we still offer free outdoor spaces! Over the years, Phillip’s vision and hard work have helped shape The Golden Flea into what it is today.

In addition to running the market, Phillip is passionate about buying and selling real estate and creating custom art from repurposed wood and used license plates. He’s not just the brawn of the operation—he’s the brains behind the original concept, constantly evolving and pushing the boundaries of what Cheap AF Retail & The Golden Flea can offer to the community.

Thank you all for the last few years of fun and amazing vendor events! As of September 2025, I’ll be stepping back into a purely administrative role. That means I won’t be managing, hosting, or planning events and vendors at the warehouse anymore, as I’m shifting my focus toward family and other priorities.

I’ll continue focusing my efforts on Cheap AF’s online expansion, while Phillip will maintain the brick-and-mortar store, shipping operations, and The Golden Flea vendor market.

This journey has been such a joy, and I’m grateful for everyone who has been part of it. My passion for providing affordable options for our community remains, and I’m excited to see Cheap AF Retail continue to thrive in new ways.
